I just finished de-weeding part of my yard, and those harmless looking dandelion stems and leaves are not connected to thin, weak, multitudinous roots. No. They’re connected to one monstrously thick root that extends very deeply into the earth. I didn’t pull one dandelion root out that was less than an inch deep.
