I decided to Google(c) the subtitle of my site “impermanence of being” and this is at the top of the search result. Hmmmm. The reading was pretty heavy and some references to other authors were beyond me. The average person reading this who isn’t familiar with college texts would be very intimidated. Here’s a reminder to all the folks out there who hold men of science with such high regard. Scientists and engineers can be also be WRONG. I’d like to admit that I’m always correct in my judgement when it comes to the work I do, but I’d be lying if I did.
I’ll tell you another little secret. A majority of our knowledge base is accidental and incidental. For the accidental part, look no further than the Darwin awards. For the incidentals, that’s where inspiration comes into play. This happens quite rarely. Truly original thought is rare. Try this example. Think of a phrase or an idea in your head and look it up in your search engine of choice. I would bet that it’s been stated, attempted, and discussed on some medium a dozen times over. But don’t let my words stop you from exercising attempts at inspiration and originality. You might surprise yourself, and the rest of us doubters.
