Good Times – 2010 edition

This is the third and probably final post for 2010.  I’ve been occupied with life.  It’s like a clingy baby.  It just won’t let go of me.

What’s the takeaway from all my experiences this year?  The abstract part of me would say I’m not yet complete.  Like all those websites with the “under construction” label on their homepage during the dot-com mania.  Everyone and their dog had a website trying to cash in.  So yeah.  That’s me.  Under construction.  So wait for it, everyone.  Cause when the grand opening that is me occurs, I hope I’m not too much of a let down.

The more concrete takeaway is that I’m like the rest of you.  Figuring where I fit in.  I want to be where I would do the most good and in turn find the most fulfillment and joy possible to me.  I’ve learned that sometimes the greatest good is not the good I keep all to myself.  It’s the good I give willingly without expectations of anything.  I’ve learned to appreciate every moment: ordinary and non-sequitur.  I haven’t mastered this art yet as I occasionally slip into moments of “Is this all?”, but I’m stubborn.  I’ll persevere.

To all of you:  my family and my friends.  I can enjoy each and everyone of those moments, because you are there with me in person and in thought.  You well know I am not always “rainbows and sunshine” and it is because of this that I appreciate you all the more.  You’ve over looked the deficiencies in my character which is more than I can expect.  I wish you a better and brighter future for every tomorrow that comes to you.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Years
