I posit that the “Best of” postings on Craigslists will at some point in the far future become the equivalent of Plato’s Republic, I Ching and maybe even the Tao Te Ching. At worst, it could become our posterity’s Canterbury Tales. Only it’ll actually be fun to read [note 1]. There is so much to glean from every one of the postings. If you look closely and deeply enough, you will find the coarse, the crude and the sublime all at the same time. Read this and try telling me that it doesn’t just make you laugh and then force you to think how this individual came to this particular conclusion regarding a tangential yet functional use of a sink for something other than what it was originally intended.
I bring this up after I began reading the 2 months of missed postings due to seasonal festivities. It seems that December and January are the most productive months for Craigslist’s “Best of”. I’ve been laughing and crying my eyes out from so much humanity place so lovingly through the digital ethers.
I haven’t posted in awhile. Life got in the way.
Note:
1. I have not read Canterbury tales. I only use it as an example. To all of the unemployed English majors out there, don’t kill me. Please?
