It’s almost been a month. I DID say things were going to be busy once the school term started. Complete understatement. I haven’t had time to do anything and I’ve had to work the hours I miss during school days. I haven’t been able to get my car inspected, and I discovered on Sunday that the vehicle tax sticker I bought in December has been sitting in my glove compartment for the last two and a half months. I could have been ticketed a dozen times over for that little oversight. Even with my schedule packed, school’s been a good thing for me. I’ve found that I actually enjoy it this time around. I’m not the uncertain person I was when I left school the first time. It’s nice to find that out about myself. Until recently, I had still been thinking of myself as that person many years ago. There’s actually a benefit in maturity. Oh, man! I’m going to have to come to terms with that statement.
Generally, things have gone well which I’m sure is going to end immediately after I make this statement. As a matter of fact, right after I FTP this. I’ll probably break something. Or that tax return I got will probably be audited. Okay, I’ll retract that. Things have been going okay, but they could be better. Something did turn out well tonight. A new project assigned to me that I’ve been working on, actually worked. It’s only in the initial stages, but it’s one of those projects where things are really more difficult in the beginning because it’s new and untested. I jumped that hurdle today around 7:30pm. It felt good. On the other hand, the other project I’m on has hit a snag. I’ve been out of the equation on that particular project for the last few weeks. The other guys are taking care of it and I have no doubt they’ll get it resolved. They’re very good at what they do.
