Well, it’s certainly been a busy week. We finally got a project at work to the point where it’s usable. Now we just have to add the million other features that were spec’d. Actually, the stuff is in there now. It’s just never been tested. We’ll get to that point once we get some parts in.
My sister and brother-in-law has been sending some pictures of their vacation in New Zealand. The pictures are . . . well? How do it put it so that you too may be in awe of it? At the same time I don’t want it to sound trite or cliched. Here goes. It’s almost religious. That’s how I would describe the pictures. They’re beautiful. The land is so virgin, it shames the person who would dare to defile it by setting his/her feet on its soil. That’s my opinion of course. And way overstated, but that’s a part of my personality. That’s just from the pictures I received. Can you imagine my reaction if I were actually there? I’d be so stunned, you wouldn’t hear a sound out of me the entire time I was there. It would be like an eight year old’s first time in a church and knowing reverence by observing silence.
Did homework yesterday. It’s too ridiculous to even say. Doing homeworkat 30 sounds like a man in the midst of a mid-life crisis going out and buying a very fast and flashy new toy. That’s funny. That just reminded me of what a friend of mine at work said awhile back. He has this theory that caucasian males that buy really expensive sporty cars are old, balding, overweight, and the least representative of what women think is attractive if you caught them in an honest moment. He says that when he’s out driving, he always keeps an eye out on the nice flashy cars. He drives up next to them and takes a quick glance at the driver. So far, he says that his theory has held up by this less than scientific survey. I have to agree with him. I’ve gone out driving and looked in on the drivers of really nice sports cars. The ones who are male are generally old, bald caucasion men. I can’t say about the attractiveness of men, but I can say that if I were a woman, I wouldn’t think too highly of these specimens in the looks category. To be fair though, how many young guys (20-40) are financially able to buy expensive sports cars. Certainly not me. I do well, but not that well. So my friend’s theory might be biased against the older caucasian gentlemen, because they’re generally at the point in their life where they’re financially able to afford these things. Let’s get back to the subject of homework. The last time I did homework was in ’96. Eight years! Time is quick silver to me now. Can’t ever get ahold of enough of it. And what I do have of it slips by too quickly.
